History at a glance
The ABS-CBN Foundation Incorporated (AFI) is a socio-civic organization of one of Asia's premiere broadcasting companies, ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation. Fired by a vision of a "creating a better world for children" it is heavily involved in public service campaigns through programs in child welfare (Bantay Bata), environment protection (Bantay Kalikasan),rescue and rehabilitation (Sagip Kapamilya), and education (E-Media).
Educational Television (ETV), E-Media's flasgship project introduced television assisted instruction in partnership with the Department of Education in 1994. The vision is to use the power, creativity and reach of media in bringing state-of-the-art technology in the producation of curriculum-based television shows that cater to the public education system.

Aside from ETV shows, the program also reaches out to Filipino children, teachers and the general public through the educational radio show, Bago 'Yan Ah!. Created in June, 1996, it has continued to use radio as an innovative medium to introduce lessons in Science and technology as well as other related fields.

Mission and Goals
E-Media's mission is to contribute to a successful democracy by enhancing world-class excellence education in Science, Mathematics, Values Education, Critical Thinking, and National Pride. It aims to develop the cognitive and moral development of children through production, distribution and effective utilization of quality multimedia materials, as well as to ensure the operational sustainability of the Program.
To achieve these goals,the following components and strategies are used.
1. PRODUCTION
It covers the development and production of quality educational televisionand radio shows as well as other multimedia materials
2. DISTRIBUTION
Distribution aims to cover the greatest reach possible (e.g. shools, educational institutions, households, communities, etc.).
3. UTILIZATION
Utilization refers to strategies and activities that ensure the effctive use of multimedia materials. These include teacher training, research, program monitoring, and program evaluation.
General Policy
It is the policy of the Program to provide education-related services and create educational shows for TV and radio, as well as educational video materials for students and school teachers. These products and services aim to bring quality education in the country.
The program targets all schools nationwide, prioritizing public elementary schools with electricity. In so doing, other sectors are also influenced such as parents of these children in particular and communities in general.
